Social Service

If I'm not mistaken, on 15-16th January 2011, I joined the fellowship to have a social service and night prayer with my community. Firstly, I was not interested as I was not really fit at that time and it held out of my town, Malang. But, something encouraged me to join this fellowship.

Anyway, the theme of that fellowship is be the light to everyone, "The Light Generation". Well, When arrived, the leader arranged me to join the cooking team and I helped those people cooked soup, fried rice.

After had a dinner, we all gathered to praise the Lord for about two hours. We sang, we prayed, shared togetherness and got a very excellent preaching regarding to our theme. After that, right at 12 a.m (January, 16th), my friend Chilton had a birthday. Then we gave him surprise and prayed for him in a circle formation. It was a very great night to have such a pleasure in togetherness.

Then it was time to sleep as we had to wake up earlier to pray and to go to the spot of social service. But, the leader of fellowship called me, he explained me further about Saint Mary and Catholic which I call it as A Quick Theology Lesson. I thanked God for He always sends me the right people to be closer to Him.

After that, I went sleep and the next day, we arrived to the spot. We firstly attended the Eucharist Ceremony there as it was Sunday continued with the service. It was very fun to meet the children. Children there were so friendly and it was a clear vision that they really lacked of affection. 95% of them are handicapped by the way.

One thing that touched me much was how happy they were just saw our community visited them. I realized that I have been too lazy doing all household while they have a big desire to walk, run, dance and so on. They were happy for the very simple thing. Oh God!

When it was the time for them to eat, the food box had no spoon so they had to eat with hand. Actually there were lots of internal helper who lived there to treat them daily so they could help them ate. But the number of the internal helper was not in compliance with the number of the children.
