The recent issue that newly takes matter in my life is about the relationship between mother and her child.
Raise up the value of honesty.
... Yes, I realize how far I've been growing up to now, I get older each session, I gotta have to choose my own path, my parents start to trust my capability in choosing smart option. But remember that it is not just a full freedom. You get older and you have another extra responsibility aside, briefly said "take and give". As well, although you can be more independent by this, don't ever lose any respect to your parents, keep raising them ;)
I'm blessed as I always tell the naked-truth to Mom and luckily she really trusts me. I won't ever disappoint you, I gonna taking care of it :)
